Vatersay

The island of Vatersay (Bhatarsaigh) is the southernmost and westernmost inhabited island in the Outer Hebrides.

The settlement of Caolas on the north coast is the westernmost permanently inhabited place in Great Britain.

To the south are the uninhabited islands of Pabbay, Mingulay and Sanday.

The island is known for its wildlife, musical culture and beautiful beaches.
